Certified Institutional Protection Specialist (CIPS) certification designates those professionals working in, or directly responsible for the protection of cultural facilities or public institutions. This special category of IFCPP basic certification includes proprietary or contract security officers, supervisors, security training managers, human resources, facilities managers, registrars, curators, or other staff with duties in facility protection.

Code of Conduct Conflict Resolution Emergency Evacuations Fire Protection Emergency Medical Response Legal Considerations Patrolling & Protecting Collections Use of Force & Self-Defense Customer Service/Guest Relations
As the world security situation changes, our program expands to include topical information and improved tactics for combating elevated threats.
You may qualify now for national certification! CIPS certification requires attendance at this 8-hour class, plus written examination. Confirmation, qualification forms, background check authorization, invoice, directions and classroom/parking directions will be mailed upon receipt of registration. Upon successful completion of course work and exam, participants will be awarded CIPS certification, and certificate will be awarded on site.
Registration & application fee: $165 covers 8-hour class, handouts, exam, certification, and certificate.
